New computer!
Yes, I haven’t posted in a while, because I was setting up my new computer. It’s got a Core 2 Quad, a GTX 285 and 4GB of DDR2. This time I decided to try out a dual-monitor setup, and so far it’s worked well.
Now I can play TF2 on full settings. ;-)
The computer runs Windows Vista (because I’ve heard XP 64 is ‘unstable’), and of course, Arch Linux. I switched to xmonad for the window manager, however, as it handles dual monitor configurations better than dwm. The last time I got xmonad configured, it was a huge mess (though it did look cool). This time I tried to keep the xmonad.hs as minimal as possible, and easily tweakable in case I ever copy it to another computer. In case you’re interested, the xmonad.hs is here (without the conky config files, check out the Arch Wiki for some). Each screen’s dzen also shows only information regarding that screen, and the workspace bar also shows which workspace the other monitor is on.
I’m hoping to start work on a new game soon, on the new computer. May be GraLL 2. Stay tuned!
